Daily Routine on Our Walking Safaris

ON A BACKED UP SAFARI.

Day generally begins with coffee/tea and early breakfast.  Depart on a morning walk - approx 10-15 km.  Return to camp late morning.  Clients have lunch and if desired, an afternoon sleep in the heat of the day.  At approx 3.00pm tea and cake ot biscuits are served followed by an afternoon walk (approx 10 km).  Distances covered depend completely on the capacity of the party and the movement of game.  On return to comap sundowner drinks are served, there is time for a shower and a few drinks around the campfire before dinner is served.

Ablution Facilities: A long drop toilet is erected at every campsite, and a bush bucket shower with hot water is also erected to ensure clients have a daily shower.  On longer duration safaris, all tents have bathroom en suite.

ON A BACKPACKING OR PORTER SAFARI

The routine varies to a backed up safari in that you will have a very early morning start.Depending on the distance you will backpack to the next camp, have lunch and free walk in the afternoon.  If the proposed destination is to far to walk before the heat of the day sets in, you will stop off after lunch and siesta and walk to the next camp later in the afternoon.

Ablution Facilities: As youwill always be camping near water bathing will be done in springs or solar showers with be provided.  A bush toilet is also erected at each campsite.
